Artie’s Festival will celebrate its 20th edition this November. Started in 2008 and now expanded to other countries as well, Artie’s still has its most important concerts in India at the NCPA.

By popular demand, the Artie’s Chamber Orchestra will once again perform Bruckner’s Seventh Symphony, which enthralled a sold-out audience in 2015.

The Artie’s Chamber Orchestra has created a niche for themselves in playing chamber reductions for large orchestral works, allowing them to play masterworks for the classical repertoire with limited forces, and bring these great works to a wider audience. The most unusual and brilliantly-executed performance of Bruckner’s Seventh Symphony in 2015 delighted and surprised members of the audience and saw venerable old music lovers and a number of others rush to the stage at the end of the performance.

The Artie’s Chamber Orchestra will present this work once again on November 22 at the Tata Theatre this time in a new arrangement for 14 musicians. As anyone who heard it the first time will attest, this is not a concert to be missed.
