A Steinway Young Artist, Chelsea de Souza is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in piano performance at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University under Russian concert pianist Boris Slutsky. She holds Bachelor’s degrees in international politics and in piano performance and vocal accompanying from Oberlin College of Arts & Sciences and Conservatory of Music. She has given concerts in Belgium, Germany and the US. She has won numerous awards in India and abroad, including the top prize at the 2010 IIYM International Piano Competition in Kansas, USA, and most recently, the Oberlin Conservatory Senior Concerto Competition.
