An NCPA-National Theatre Live (London) Presentation
Against the backdrop of Hamlet, two hapless minor characters, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, take centre stage. As the young double act stumble their way in and out of the action of Shakespeare’s iconic drama, they become increasingly out of their depth as their version of the story unfolds.
Written by Tom Stoppard
Directed by David Leveaux
Cast: Daniel Radcliffe, Joshua McGuire & David Haig
Please note: There is a section in Act-II where the stage goes to blackout, but the play continues with dialogue. Neither the audience in the theatre nor the broadcast cameras can see anything at this time. This will not be a technical problem with the broadcast but part of the production and the broadcast itself. The NT technical teams will make sure this is messaged everywhere we can in the run up to and during the broadcast. It occurs approximately 9 minutes into Act-II and lasts for around 1 minute.
