Sthapatya Satya
One of the most intricate repertoires of Gotipua, a traditional dance of Odisha, is the Bandha Nritya which involves acrobatic movements by young boys dressed as girls. This production by Laxmipriya Gotipua Ntriya Kendra from Balipatna, is based on extensive research by Odissi exponent Aloka Kanungo.
The choreographic work has the age old rustic, pristine Gotipua dance along with the sophisticated Odissi dance of our time, but all the time the inspiration being the sculptures – the monuments on our temple walls, which have been there as the silent witness of our heritage and culture and the ultimate truth of our lineage and tradition.

Mera Shyam – Love for Krishna
Mera Shyam is a dance extravaganza celebrating Krishna as the ultimate form of divine love. Conceptualized by founder of Utsav music, Churchill Pandian, the programme will be a unique synthesis of poetry, music and romance. Gopika by Rukmini Vijaykumar (Bharatanatyam), Radha by Astha Dixit (sufi-Kathak), Yashoda by Arushi Mudgal (Odissi), Meera by Meghranjani Medhi (Kathak) and Satyabhama by Prateeksha Kashi (Kuchipudi) are the women who follow this love and get drenched in the divine music, and become one with SHYAM – the eternal lover.
