Utkarsh: In Reverence to the Maestro is a special series that presents eminent masters from the world of dance, in recognition of their artistic prowess, knowledge and lifelong dedication and contribution to the art form. Bharatanatyam performer, choreographer and teacher Deepak Mazumdar is a top grade artiste of Doordarshan. Mazumdar will present Kanak Rasa Dhara. The cornerstone of Indian dance is the tradition of aesthetics – Rasasutra propounded by Bharata almost 2,500 years ago. It is not bound by the constraints of time and space. It was valid when Bharata enunciated it and it is valid today.
