Western Music Recital

An NCPA & Stop-Gaps Cultural Academy Presentation
The Young Talent concert series, now in its 29th year, presents young musicians who are carving a niche for themselves in their respective musical fields. Performers include: Divya Sundaram (soprano) began vocal training with Alfred J. D'Souza, and was a member of The Stop-Gaps Choral Ensemble and went on to do a diploma in Western classical singing from the KM Music Conservatory in Chennai. She will perform works by Schubert, Mozart, Liszt, Puccini and Rachmaninoff. Shantanu Patel (pianoforte) completed his diploma in classical piano studies from the KM Music Conservatory in Chennai where he won the top awards each year and went on to do a BA (Hons) from Middlesex University and then his MA from the prestigious Royal Scottish Conservatoire, under the tutelage of Prof. Fali Pavri. He will perform works by Debussy and Liszt. Joson Josh Henriques (violin) obtained his ABRSM diploma in violin performance under the guidance of Jini Dinshaw and received a full scholarship to attend International Music Summer School at Wells Cathedral School in the UK in 2016. He has performed with the Bombay Chamber Orchestra and the Goa String Orchestra. He will perform works by Mozart and Sarasate.
