Nestled in the heart of bustling South Mumbai, set against the lush expanses of the Open Air Plaza and flanked by Amadeus, the NCPA’s existing paragon of fine dining, the Café at The NCPA is a newly launched al-fresco eatery that promises a refreshingly tranquil retreat from the rush of the city.
Looking over the Arabian Sea on one side, the all day café transforms into a softly lit haven by sundown, where visitors to the NCPA can meet and soak in the atmosphere, unique to one of the city’s largest cultural spaces. Grass-edged flagstones line the walkway alongside three open-air counters, while the inviting rattan seating is fringed by potted plants and palm fronds that scatter the natural light spilling in.
The Café at The NCPA provides the perfect ambience for coffee, conversations and creativity – grab a bite before going on to experience the many multi-art events presented by the NCPA, or simply relax after an exuberant display of the nation’s artistic riches.
Patrons can treat themselves to three open-air counters offering high-quality Indian, Thai, and American cuisines amongst various other nibbles and drinks. The menu, specifically designed for the cafe by Farrokh Khambatta offers a variety of options for meals, appetizers and drinks.
